I saw little of Dr Arzoglou. I have every confidence in him. I am now making good progress. However I had to wait 9 days for the operation during which time I lost a stone in weight and suffered considerable pain. Some of the staff attitude was indifferent.

I had been in pain for a considerable time, before being referred to Mr Arzoglou, who told me of my condition and that he would perform the operation in a Sheffield hospital. Mr Arzoglou discussed fully the type of operation that would be performed and asked me of any concerns that I had, which he resolved to my satisfaction. I was concerned that at 69 years of age, I might take a long period of time to recover from the spine (TLIF) operation and my ability to walk would be limited. I went in the the operation as an old man, and now am a very young 70 year. Mr Arzoglous skill has enabled me to carry out any activities around the house and I am also able to conduct marathon walks, which has been my favorite past time. Mr A and the hospital staff were all brilliant and I have been pain free since my operation. God bless the NHS and well done Mr Arzoglou. I would happily recommend him to anyone needing his services.

I had my op Jan 2016 Mr V. Arzoglou performed my op at Hri, I was treat with dignity and expertise I felt, from being admitted to being discharged everything ran very smooth , my operation was performed on my spine having plates and cage inserted I have recovered brilliantly, I would recommend Mr arzoglou 100% he is a very kind and skilled surgeon . I am so grateful to him and Hri hospital .

I was admitted urgently from Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby by the consultant in AED, after he diagnosed a substantial bleed on the brain, he had also liased with Mr Arzoglou in Hull who wanted me in his care as soon as possible. I cannot remember much of the whole experience but my Wife and Family were very impressed with the fact that he actually liased with myself & them personally & with his excellent team, who he praises above himself for what they do. He & his team were very thorough in every aspect of my pre care, surgery & post care even to the point of actually seeing him on my check up appointment & the final discharge from his care. We as a family would not hesitate in recomending Mr Arzoglou & his team to anyone & also help anyone who has any fears, as we do when needing surgery of any sort, to help them calm the fears etc they have, i was very lucky to have him & his team act so quickly, reassuringly, professionally & expertly OR i wouldn't be here to be writing this review, i owe them my life as we had only been married 7 days when i turned up in AED because my wife wouldn't take no for an answer.

I first met Mr Arzoglou in May 2015 for a second opinion regarding a complex spinal condition which had deteriorated quickly and had left me more or less housebound due to severe mobility/pain issues. Despite my being extremely distressed at this meeting, Mr Arzoglou took the time to explain my condition and the suggested thoracotomy operation. He was very kind and listened to what my concerns were and the fact that I would prefer minimally invasive surgery. The operation was carried out in June 2015 and, after spending two weeks at Hull Royal Infirmary, I was transferred to the Specialist Spinal Unit at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield for rehabilitation (two and a half months). Thankfully the operation was successful and following intensive rehab my condition slowly continues to improve. Both I and my family are extremely grateful to Mr Arzoglou and his team. Mrs M
